Both of you are in areas where you can seek out photographers. Photographers will not always instantly appear to you. Part of modeling is the behind scenes work that models have to do. You don't have agents which means you have to wear multiple hats and do a lot of work on your own and that includes looking into photographers and yes traveling to them if need be.
